Frequently asked questions
Why does damp ruin paint?
Active damp under paint makes it blister and flake. The cause (leak, rising damp) must be treated first, or the problem returns.
How many coats are needed?
Generally one undercoat then two finish coats, more on very porous surfaces or for a drastic colour change.
